Food Hygiene Safety

This program deals with Safe Food Handling and procedures required to ensure that all food and food service in Convenience Stores meets the stringent food hygiene requirements of State and Federal legislation. All food handlers must be trained in the skills and knowledge of handling food safely and hygienically. This DVD covers all aspects of safe food handling and procedures in C-Stores and cafes.

Workplace Safety

All service station and convenience store operators and their staff have a duty of care to ensure that they are practicing safe work procedures and are able to:

• Identify the potential hazards in the workplace
• Respond to and control them
• Deal with any emergencies as they occur

The program deals with all these work safe issues inside a C-Store and in particular contains a module on forecourt and the dangerous goods obligations.

Each DVD Training program has it's own accompanying assessment document ready to print and to be completed by a trainee, preferably after viewing the program.

A completed assessment demonstrating competence in the subject, provides a good record of understanding of the standards required to maintain the competitive edge required in the C-Store Service Station Industry today.

The Implementation Plan and the Tools urges potential users to develop their OH&S and Compliance to Laws Policy Statements, develop an Implementation Plan for risk management and establish processes for risk assessment and regular review.

Trainees log onto atmp's e-learning web site and view the interactive training modules and are then required to complete a series of written assessment activities.

atmp assessors will verify all of the activity responses and provide feedback via email and the web.There are also a number of tasks that are to be demonstrated on-the-job by a supervisor using atmp checklists and sign-offs which are then forwarded to atmp.Trainee's progress is monitored by atmp and their supervisors are kept up to date with progress and outcome reports.

When the trainee has completed and been assessed on line, atmp assessors will then conduct a 15 minute telephone assessment interview with the staff member to complete the process.

Full training records are provided to the employer as proof of compliance with laws and safe work practices and the trainee will receive a Statement of Attainment for two Units from Certificate II in Retail SIR20207.
